It‘s like Park Slope's Seventh Avenue made The Onion inside a piece headlined " Nation's Gentrified Neighborhoods Threatened By Aristocratization. " Here is a sample :
Consistent with a report released Tuesday from the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based think tank, the recent influx of exceedingly affluent powder-wigged aristocrats straight into the nation's gentrified urban areas is pushing out young white professionals, a number of whom have lived during these neighborhoods as many as seven years.
Maureen Kennedy, a housing policy expert and lead author from the report, said the enormous treasure-based wealth from the aristocracy causes it to be impossible for all those living on modest trust funds to carry onto their co-ops and converted factory loft spaces.
Fun reading, priceless Slope photo aside.
